About a year ago I decided to graduate from the straight long scarf and found an amazing book called Knitting New Scarves by Lynne Barr.Drifting Pleats was perhaps in hindsight a little ambitious.
The first one took me three months, learning to manipulate the six needles was tricky. My pride and joy, it was a lovely light green tweed. But it ended in tragedy when two lovely puppies took it off the counter (the poodle) and spent the next few hours tearing it to bits (the schnauzer).
This is the second one - in a brighter green and smoother yarn which I think works better for the pleats. The finished article now graces the neck of a good friend.
